Re: Platform and Type of wood used.

I got some nice old yellow pine from a barn that was being torn down. Bought a cheap hand held metal detector wand (like the security guards use at the airports) to check for broken nails in the wood then ran it through my planer. It is great wood for the bed. Nice tight grain and not hardly any kno...

Neat Scrap Yard Find

I had a neat find at a scrap yard in Wichita, Kansas today. Walking past a huge pile of scrap looking around and there on the pile was a NOS model A head! It had nuts on the studs for the water pump and you could clearly see it had never been on an engine. Also found one side of a rear bumper in the...

Re: WANTED: U-bolts to mount truck flat bed

I tried to post a picture of a set but it said the picture was too big to attach. I ain't good enough on the computer to shrink the pixels down for it. They look alot like the u-bolts for the front spring to the frame just bigger.

Re: Ok, call me dumb

Don't give up on the truck. I wouldn't get too worried about driving it around for a while as it is. Remember the Model T only has rear brakes and really only one as it's the band in the transmission. This is one nice thing about a model AA parts are around. Just remember when comming up on a corner...

Wanted: steel stakes for stake platform grain sides 24"

I am needing steel stakes for my Ford script grain bed. These stakes are just like the cargo stake sides only shorter, almost 24" in total length and closed at the top end. I have some extra 48" stakes that I would trade for grain side stakes. Hate to cut them off when I'm sure someone has...

Wanted: 11' stake bed for BB Truck

I'm looking for a 11' stake bed like is listed in the Ford Trucks since 1905 book Model 244-A. says it's 80 1/4" wide X 135 1/2" long. Also looking for a nice Ford Script 9' bed for my 28AR. I've got a couple nice Model T beds extra for sale or trade. I'm located in South Cental Kansas 50 ...

Re: split rings re-arched

The above poster is correct. you can re arch the rings but do it cold. The main problem with split rims is getting the ring to seat in good to the groove in the rim. I always inflate the tire slowly and gently tap the ring toward the rim with a hammer to make sure the ring is seated all the way into...
