Wire Gauge
I'm working on my ignition wiring and have plenty diagrams to go from. The only thing I cannot find is what gauge wire to use, as nobody seems to put these on their drawings. I want to do these: Red wire from ignition switch to coil. Black wire from coil to junction box. Yellow from junction box to ...

Re: Rear Axle Spindle Threads
I went to a taller castle nut, which covers more of the thread and torqued it to almost 100 FP.
I will drive this truck sometime in the near future.

Battery Disconnect Switch
Has anyone installed a battery disconnect switch?
From what I've read, it should be installed on the ground side.
I would like to know what anyone has done and how it worked out.
Thanks,
Marty

Re: Rear Axle Spindle Threads
The threads are mostly worn off. I will meet with a tool maker tomorrow and see if he can cut them down to 14mm x 1.5.
Man I sure don't want to take the rearend out again.

Rear Axle Spindle Threads
My spindle threads are almost not there.
I'm trying to find what I can do, without taking it all apart to replace them.
Can I have the threads built up and threaded or cut down and threaded using a smaller castle nut?
What else might I think about before rushing into something wrong?

Re: Gas Peddle Sticking
My lever has not been bumped.
I will remove the assy and have a look at it and sweeten it up, I'm sure it could use it.
Thanks,
Marty

Gas Peddle Sticking
OK, this should be easy to figure out; but I keep trying to find the reason my gas peddle sticks. It drives find until I stop and the engine is running faster than normal, then I have to pump the peddle to back it down. I've oiled and greased all points and it remains the same. What am I missing? Ma...

Re: Drip Drip
Sure sounds like the float is set too high. It is easy to remove and take apart and check. You may need to rebuild using new parts.

Re: Loud clanking noise in top gear
It sounds like a broken gear.
I've had the same noise only in 1st gear.
Good luck with it.

Seat Belts
I want to install seat belts in my truck. All I've found do not have Ford logo on the buckel. Anybody know where I might find any with Ford on them?

I have a 28 pickup roadster and could use your doors.
It was a good write up and I thank you.
