I had to take the cab off my 32 AAB to find the VIN. It was in the same place as a 31.

Re: WTT for a 1930 or later AA

Frank,
Welcome to the forum. I think that considering what you want and the asking price, I would keep looking. If you search back a year or so on this forum you will see some good examples. Sometimes big iron doesn't sell fast, and trucks posted months ago may still be for sale.

I don't mean to hi-jack, but that is something for the rest of us to be aware of. Many times I have seen something start in California and move across the country. So what does Safety Kleen use ?

Re: How long were the AA trucks in production?

Early 32 bangers (4 cyl) were AAB's. Later in 32 they were BB's through 34 I think. I don't know what the V-8 trucks were called.

Re: Removal of rear brake drum

I think using gasoline as a parts cleaning solvent is inviting disaster. I usually scrape really dirty parts with a putty knife first. Then what Spectria said.

Elk horn, First of all you are to be commended for taking on such a project. Opinions are quite varied and I don't think you will please everyone. That said I agree that the front is a bit busy for my taste. I like the look of the script were a pocket would be. If you are unable to use the Ford scri...

What is it that makes you think its running hot? I know that my truck will push coolant out of the overflow if the radiator is filled over the baffle when its cold.
