Re: Four speed to three speed?

28 & 29's came standard with the 3 speed. My 28 has the three speed and low high. I suspect it is a bolt in. you may want to save that four speed bell housing as that is the hot set up to putting a T-5 in an A. I have seen them sell for $300.00.

Re: Warford auxiallry transmission

Most machine shops bead blast areas like that prior to working on so they can see what is there.

Re: Warford auxiallry transmission

The more I look at that and how it is recessed I suspect that there is a snap ring there that has rusted away. You need to remove all the scales of rust so you can see what you have.

Re: Warford auxiallry transmission

Jeff, Is that the one I brought back to you from BV in Kansas??? You really need to clean that thing up to see if there is a snap ring holding it. I can't tell from your picture. I was working on a 39 passenger car transmission this afternoon and they don't have them. What they do have is small rod ...

Re: Split Ring Safety

I did my own by strapping them with (3) 2" ratchet straps so I wouldn't wreck the new paint with chains. I put the valve stems to the inside (I know this doesn't meet the judging standards but neither does my truck) so I am behind the rim when airing up. I slowly aired them up 5# at a time and made ...

question for you. How do you secure your trailer at night. Do you sleep in the cab or do you use motels?? Just curious with all the theft out there right now.

Re: Gas Tank Strainer & Gas Gauge

That's actually a spark arrestor and it screws in. Chances are your float is probably not bouyant anymore and is sinking. They are pretty easy to change. Just make sure you drain the gas low enough . It comes out the front. There is a tool you need to unscrew it.

Re: cab assembly

I am doing mine on the frame. I have the cowl and A pillars where they belong and am working from there. I think it needs a secure and correct starting point. Remember the wood kits will get you close but are not exact bolt ins. you need to trim and sand to make them right.

Re: Tires

I bought my 600 20 Denmans from Universal Tire a while back. Don't think you can get them anymore but they were pretty good to deal with and at the time the best price. You will want new tubes as well as liners with your new tires. I bought my tubes with the metal stems on a 90 and I have them facin...
