Re: Rear fenders

Thanks Neil, thought that would be the case. Yes my cab and frame are 29 but rear end is 30/31 along with a mix of other parts parts. The bed will just be a platform type so I can probably adapt anything to fit. Sorry, I am probably offending all the purists out there! Jeff Do you even need / want ...

I know I can slide it toward a + or - to adjust, but how is the correct setting determined? Via output voltage and if so what is the correct voltage? Or should...

Re: distributor lock bolt stripped

helicoil is good. Probably a standard, recommended repair method. Do it.. ( But like mentioned, watch out for chips getting inside engine. Rag or Magnets work well also).

Re: downshifting transmission help!

Mitchell synchronized transmission - I assume is what you are referencing. I just checked them out and to be honest at almost 3 grand USD ( core charge - blah blah) which right now is likely 5 grand CDN dollar with exchange and freight I will have to wait on such a purchase. I will get this , its a...

Re: Spring Start-Up - What to look for?

I checked my coolant temp. today after a long ride. About 200 deg. At idle around 190 deg. Finally got the boiling over issue fixed. Next is to work on generator speed.

BTW Your truck looks Great!!

The miles per gallon is not nearly as important as the smiles per mile.
Exactly - the answer the question of what mpg do you get is "enough" haha
Just as long as it is not " Just about enough"!!!

Re: WTB '31 steel top cab

Kim, I found a vendor in CA that sells a drop in piece to make the cab a solid top. What did your father in law use to support it from inside? Did he use the wood ribs as if it were a canvas top? Nope. Simpler than that! A piece of 3/4" plywood. then wrapped it with the covering. He even put 'ribs'...

Re: gas mileage AA

I'm getting about 9 MPG, So range should be about 75 miles. Leaving room for error!! It would be fun to fill the tank, (Put an extra 5 gal. in the back) and just take off and see how far you get. Problem is,,, I think i'd run out of day light be for gas!!
