Re: Who'd be interested

I'm interested! Sounds like your planning on making exactly what I need. (Boy that word "Need" can get you in trouble)!

Where are you at and how much?

Re: Windshield hinge gasket installation

Thanks Bob. I got it now. Will continue to clean up parts, Fill, prime, and paint. Seams like an never ending task. Lots of snow so I guess it is ok to spend time in the shop.. :)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can anyone tell me the shift speeds for the 4-speed?

I don't know if there is a "recomended" speed. I'd just rev it up and shift. Do it by ear. Soon as things start to sound really wound up, SHIFT!!! (your ground speed will be slow with the low rear end gears you have).

Frt. Windshield gaskets mounting

I've got a '28 with what I think is a '30 windshield in it. Also have the windshield gasket set for a "28 Briggs". Is that the correct seals? And how dose the gasket / Seal mount in the windshield frame? Anyone have a cross section drawing of it?

Thanks in advance for any help..

I'm not sure, but I thought I saw in Snyders a special cable for this issue. Just a thought.

rear window mounting

I need some input on how the rear window is supposed to be installed.

I've got the frame, bolts, glass. Is there anything that seals, or mounts the glass into the frame and rear panel?

Re: High Speed Rear?

I assume you are referring to the worm drive rear end, my bevel gear housing is stamped 7-36 on the lower edge where the two halves are joined in the middle as well as having a tag with the same numbers which are the number of teeth on the pinion and ring gear if I am not mistaken. I recently looke...

Re: High Speed Rear?

So the question: Is high speed rear ends stamped and tagged with the numbers 7-36 and the standard "low speed" rear ends left un stamped? Can someone answer this? Thanks, Jeff My understanding is the Low speed housing has an "A" stamped on it. The high speed has a "B" stamped on it. This is for the...

Re: Front Spindle Problem

If I was in your situation I'd give it a try. What have you got to lose? I'd heat it up first so the metal can "flow" a bit while your bending it, then once in place heat it up again and let it cool slowly. If it breaks off, then all your questions are answered, and you have a clear direction. KVO
