Re: rear view mirror and california registration
I used a auto interior mirror. (from a 28 a) I mounted it onto a piece of sheet metal, then tucked the top end in around the header panel and the bottom into where the header panel mounts into on the bottom. Mount the mirror as low as you can so you can see thru the back window. The original style f...

Re: 1929 AA truck cover
cheapest is a tarp. But what ever you get be sure it "breaths". You don't want condensation to build up and rust and rot every thing. I did that with an antique garden tractor and ruined just about everything. Make a 'tent' over it. sort of.. I don't know of any on the market.

Re: My 28-29 AA title says 31
On my '28 the number stamped on the frame is Just in front of the cab. On top of frame. easy to see. I wire brushed the area and highlighted with white chalk. And there the number showed up. Give it a try, you may get lucky and it won't be under the cab.

if it is not shaking and or knocking you should be good. With a non-counter balanced crank you'll know by the shaking it is too fast.

Tape a mirror on your yard stick , tape the yard stick to the truck, and set it so you can see what you want to get your angle.

Re: what is a brake wedge "pill"
I have them in mine also. I made my own. Find the thickness you need and form it with the ball of a ball peen hammer over a hole in a block of steel. Check the length of the rod. If it is worn really short you may wish to get new ones.. Actuator leaver is supposed to be 15 deg. forward. Length of ro...

Re: How wide between running board outer edges?
Thing is, essentially what I'm going for in design isn't what most would have gone with anyway. The original flatbed that was on this thing stuck out at least a foot on either side of the cab, and that's just not really what I'm wanting. The basic idea is that I'm building something a bit along the ...
