I would use Loctite 609 bearing mount, suppose to fill gap up to .010".

BB bearing and sleeve wont work as the BB driveshaft is larger diameter than the AA.

The ones on Ebay are for cars, they have the wrong prefix for the part number.

I looked at a couple of axles and they both had the snap ring.
The part number is AA-17286-B speedometer drive gear retainer 1 1/4" dia. 1930-31.

Welcome. Looks like you have a 1929 chassis with a 30-31 cab and fenders the carburetor is a later 1931.
The engine number is April 1929 car.

I think you are right, the bearing or shaft is worn.
