Re: Cab Rear panel dimension for 29 AA

Hi, I was thinking of fabricating my own rear panels for my 29 cab as I assume that they are simple rectangles. I known that they may not be perfect, but I am making a driver and not a show truck. I also want the rear window to slide open, as I finish this cab I realize how little room there is.. S...

Re: carb. kit....

Hello Rick,
If I remember there are no repair kits for them but however Mikes Affordable have the gaskets, you cannot go wrong with a well rebuilt Zenith.

Hello John,
Are you just needing the dimensions for the 2 center panels? If you can wait a couple of days I can measure mine.

Re: speedometer drive gears...

Hello Rick, Well you have the correct speedo gears, the ID numbers are the same as the ones in my truck and the same as a spare set I have, the only other possibility is that the drive shaft as dropped down enough to cause a bind as the driven gear tucks (UNDER) the drive gear, which is what you may...

Hello Rick ----- Disregard this post, I hit the submit button before finishing and could not delete. Well you have the correct speedo gears, the ID numbers are the same as the ones in my truck and the same as a spare set I have, the only other possibility is that the drive shaft as dropped down enou...

Re: speedometer drive gears...

Hello Rick, Maybe you have a mismatched set of speedo gears, post a pic of them or just the numbers from them, I assume you have the worm drive axle?, and the high - low unit, from what I understand the spacer you spoke of was not used with the above axle, its difficult to say whats been done to the...

Re: speedometer drive gears...

Rick here are the pics, In the one picture inside the torque tube shows the drive gear on the shaft is pushed back wards to the drive shaft bearing, (if the axle were installed) the gear would only move forward around a 1/4 inch where it will contact the end of the u-joint, in that case the driven g...

Re: speedometer drive gears...

Hello Rick, I remember you posting about this last year, when I had my transmission out earlier this year I noticed the same condition, the end play in the driven gear is between the driveshaft bearing and the end of the u-joint (1/4 inch or less ) when the rear axle is installed, not the snap ring....

Re: Transmission tower

Hello Charlie, The spare trans top is for a right hand drive truck used in the UK and other countrys, here is a pic from Vince Falters web site --- http://www.fordgarage.com/ --- the top maybe of value to someone at some time. It is highly recommended to join FMAATC, also purchase the service bullet...

Here are some pics of the exhaust brackets for the 157 WB which may work, Aries restorations have an extension pipe that may also work.

Re: AA JACK

Here is a link from the MAFCA site, I see no mention that they have a part number cast on them, it does mention that they it can be a little sketchy to ID.

Re: AA JACK

Hello towtruck,
The other version of this jack that I have has no numbers on it, just Ford script, Walker jack USA, I could refer to the judging standards but all of my reference stuff is packed away due to house renovations, maybe Neil could verify if they should have numbers.
Regards Brian.

Re: 28 OPEN CAB EXPRESS

Here are some more pics, and I stand corrected, "open cab" express it is, I now see the bolt in the rear fender for the brace, it was 105 deg as we were leaving at 11,30 when I saw this truck, I must have had some sweaty eye balls and missed it. The pic you posted of what maybe Jays truck ...
