I am getting ready to install the cab back on the frame. 1930 82A cab (28/29 style). The information I have shows the back two blocks on each side with rubber under the wood. The front long block does not show any wood under the block. I believe when I removed the cab the front wood block was locate...

Installing Glass - 82A cab.
1) Was the rear glass installed prior to painting the cab during origanal assembly
2) What is the correct process for installing the windshield? I have purchased the rubber and the glass. The rubber looks much wider then the grove in the frame.

frame Welt installation for flatbed truck
Does the frame welt that goes under the fenders and the cab go all the way to the end of the rear frame? I have a flat bed and was wondering if the frame welt is installed under the wood sills. Is the original one continous piece from the front to the back?

28/29 Style Cab on 1930 assembly questions.
I have been working on the 29 style cab on my early 1930 stake truck. I have the following questions: 1) Does the bead welting go in one continuous section from the lower cowl panel over the gas tank to the other lower cowl panel? 2) The original wood roof was completely gone when I got the truck. I...

28-29 drivers side corner for cab.
I am in need of a drivers side corner for my 28-29 cab. All I can find is the cab corners sold in pairs. Does anyone have just the drivers side corner for sale? Does any one need the passenger side such that we can purchase both and each get one. Thanks

Re: transmisson
I have had two transmissions that had cracks as you describe. Besides looking for just a case, you may need to look for some shafts and gears. My transmissions cracked due to getting water inside and freezing. This water caused some additional damage to my shafts and gears.

Re: What is a good source for body reassembly.
Thanks for the pictures. Is there anything that goes in the front of the running board where it attaches to the fender? This area looks a little open on mine.

Re: What is a good source for body reassembly.
Neil
The truck in the picture you posted is exactly like my truck. I have installed the fenders, aprons and running boards to just work out the dents in the fenders. I did not put down the welting or beading. The cab is sitting in my other garage waiting to be installed. Thanks
