Re: worm roller bearing #s
The 35053 crosses to SKF X35053, Massey Ferguson AT1364, GMC 190165. 7787 is the end ring number, if you give me the length of the bearing I should be able to get the part number. The length will be something like 1 55/64 or maybe 2 23/64 what ever it will be in 64th's. Bob Bob: Thanks. The roller ...

'28 rear diff.
I'm looking for a '28 worm rear end. Single break type, Emergency break. Low speed is good. I don't need break parts or break backing plates, no hubs, breack drums. I'm planning on building up a seperate assembly then, switching out what I have for the new one. Just an experiment.

Re: worm roller bearing #s
Are you referring to the tapered roller bearings on each side of the differential? If so I can get you numbers for replacement bearings. Hold on to your wallet as they are very spendy. If you need the two bearings and races at each end of the spiral drive gear I have some that are in very good shap...

worm roller bearing #s
Dose anyone have a replacement # for the two worm roller bearings? Originals were Hayatt #7787 roller cage, and Hyatt # 35053 outer race. Hyatt is now gone. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyatt_Roller_Bearing_Company Some one must have replacement parts. Any info would be appreciated. KVO

Re: Electrical Bug
I ran seperate ground wires from all lights and horn back to the Battery. That way you don't have to trust the ground through body / frame, (Rusty connections and such).
Basicly MAKE SURE you have good connections.
Let us know how it goes.

Re: Turn Signals Suggestions
I made my own system. Went to Menards for a switch. DPDT center off, Got a beeper and flasher unit from Snyders, found some lights I liked for the frt. and rear and wired them up myself. Tip. Use black solid strand wire so you can bond it to the underside of frt. bumper supports so no one sees them....

Re: Anti freeze or water.
If it were me I would flush the engine to kill the rust in the block and also the radiator then add antifreeze and distilled water or premixed antifreeze. That way you will keep down the rust. There is always a chance of a hard freeze :?: Don't add any tap water, this will start a rust cycle all ov...

Anti freeze or water.
Getting ready for the new driving season and was wondering what the thougts are on using Anti Freeze Vs. Water in the radiator. Is one better than the other for cooling. I plan on using "water wetter" with either. Is there an anvantage to Anti freeze?

Re: AA vs A block
I found my frame number on the drivers side, just in front of the cab where it mounts to the frame. I put on a little acetone then carfully scrape it with a putty knife. This will remove any paint in the area, leaving what is left in the depression of the stamped numbers. Once I found the numbers, I...

Re: AA vs A block
Yes. My AA has an engine that has only one A on the engine. Two on the frame. The original engine was said to have been pulled out of the truck and used to run an Oil well. (So said my Dad in law as he did it when he was a young man durring the depression). Nice to know some of the history of your t...

Re: starter was cranking strong, now barely at all!
BTW, I found out long ago that when storing cars & trucks with clutches it is a good idea to push the clutch pedal to the floor and prop it in that position with a stick going to the steering column mounting bracket or anything else that will hold it in place. Without the pressure from the press...
