For what it's worth I recently replaced some extremely worn bushings in the rear suspension of my 31 AA, appeared to be brass clad/lined steel, does anyone know if that's what they used originally and if anything like it is available new? seems like they would wear better than solid brass or bronze....

Neil, Thanks for the great info, I've added a close up of one of the hinges, if i can't work out an even trade then I'll separate the stops for you and hang on to the swivel bolt and nut.

This item is located in northern Illinois (60430), as i would prefer to trade this i have not listed a price as yet.

I have what I believe is a long wheel base spare tire carrier that i would trade for a 30/31 swb carrier.
it has been sand blasted and primed, it measures 36" and includes the jamb nut and bolt and stops.

For what it's worth I've had one successful transaction with this person so far.

As far as I know they are both right hand threads, I've always torqued them about as tight as I can then back them off enough to get the cotter pin through the nut/axle but don't just take my advise I'M in the process of removing the rear hubs and am in need of info on removing the large 1 3/4"...
