Re: 131 & 157 Chassis for sale

All:

Years ago, I used a 1964 Chevy 1/2-ton "short bed" (6ft.) pickup with a lumber rack to haul a 1931 AA 157" W.B. frame to and from the sandblaster. Took some strong boys to get it up there, but we did it!

Re: Hello, info needed

Wannarace454: Neil's suggestion is a really smart suggestion. I don't disagree at all with what Dave told you. I'll bet quite a few people would be interested in it for $3,500 to $4k. I told you others would join in to give you some guidance. There's a lot of great people that follow this site. -- D...

Re: Hello, info needed

Wannarace454: My guess is that it would have different values to different people with different tastes. For instance, I prefer the later style, more rounded 30/31 cabs. So, a '28 thru early '30 AA with the boxier cabs aren't as appealing to me and, therefore, I would not offer as much dough for one...

Wannarace454:

It would be a good idea to let us know where the truck is located too.

Farrell:

I'd be interested in such a mat for a '30-'31.

Re: 1931 Ford Model AA Dump Truck for sale in Beaverton, MI

All:

Looked restorable (but, of course, anything is with enough $), but it was way over-priced, in my opinion.

Stakie:

In reference to the driveshafts comparison photo......are those steel-toed sandals you're wearing? Those parts are heavy, Buddy. Protect your pinkies! :)

Tim:

Are those LED lights that are mounted below the AA's headlights? I'm on a Search & Rescue team. We recently mounted some LED lights on the front of one of our team's trucks. Man! They're so bright that they blind you, if you look directly into them!

Bright is might!

Re: 1931 AA157 seen on ebay

All: I'd say it's a '31 because it has an all steel roof. Radiator emblem and wheels look to be '31 too. Driver's door is missing. Passenger door is gone too, I think. No bed on it. Wrong headlights. Has the solid front bumper. Starting bid is $1,300. It's located in Clayton, California. It's not mi...

Re: FLOODING

All: On February 10, 1978, a few minutes after midnight, a river jumped its banks and surrounded my wife's and my home (a rental). We barely got out with our lives, pets and a pouch of important papers. The next morning, we came back to see the devastation. Most all of the home was completely gone. ...

Re: FrankenTractor...Please Help Me Identify the Powertrain

Tim: A year ago this month, I attended the "Tri-State Gas Engine & Tractor Association, Inc." show in Portland, Indiana. It's unbelievable what they have there in the way of antique gas engines and antique tractors. I believe this show will soon be coming (or, going now) to Portland. I...

Re: How many aftermarket addons exist today?

Stakebed: I have a PTO or two and I have a set of overload (helper) springs. Those are the only AA accessories I can think of that I have. I'm sure other AAers have a lot of stuff too, but, as far as, how many AA accessories still exist..........I don't know how one would ever figure that out. Hopef...

Re: Rear axle clams

Stakebed: Was your truck manufactured in the good ol' U.S. of A., or is it Canadian? They reason I ask is because, if it's Canadian it might have different jobbers on it. I was going to send some to a buddy in Melbourne, Australia, but we found out that his truck was made in Canada......and, the job...

Re: 1930 Service Body W/Weaver Crane For Sale

Neil & oldtimetowing: Thanks for all the info and photos. I've come to believe that Jason's AA has an altered body. I never did think the stanchions and top rails looked proper, but it's still a nice looking truck. I would think that with an altered body the overall value of the truck would be m...
