Re: Warford adapter

Hello rustngreese, You are correct in that there is a special coupling to connect the '30-31 Warford to the 4-speed trans unlike the '28-29 Warford that uses a u-joint. Since the four speed trans is longer than the 3-speed, a shorter coupling setup is used. I'm going to try to attach some pictures f...

Re: Making an AA steer easier

Hello Bob, There are a few things you can try to make your AA steer easier. First, there is a needle bearing conversion to replace the sector shaft bushings in your steering box that should help. I used the teflon style tie rod and drag link kit and believe they help too. One thing though, make sure...

Re: Rear spring pivot

Hello Terry,

Yes, I do have the AA-5781-A rear spring leaf bushings in stock. They are $15.00 each plus $5.00 would probably cover at least a pair of them.

Hello Neil,

I do have the spring eye bushings. Grease hole is drilled and bushing has the grease grooves machined in the ID. They are $15.00 each plus shipping. I'm out of stock on the shackle bushings though.

Re: Rear spring pivot

Hello Neil & Tony, I have the 1 5/8" OD with the 1 1/2" ID pivot seat bushings in stock. I make a one piece bushing with a grease hole and grease grooves machined in the ID. One pair, enough to do both sides, is $30.00 plus shipping. Maybe I should look at doing the earlier 1 3/4"...

Re: Detergent Oil or Non-Detergent?

I also agree that a good diesel oil is the way to go. I always use this in a new engine. In an older engine though, the detergent can pickup dirt and circulate it throughout the engine. Unless I remove the pan and throughly clean it and the valve chamber out, I just use a non-detergent oil with an a...

Re: Companion flange

Hello Mike, I believe I have what your looking for. The companion flange/hub has a 3 5/8" diameter face with six unthreaded bolt holes on a 3" diameter circle. The length of the hub is about 2 5/16" long including a small protrusion on the flange end of it. If this sounds like what yo...

Re: iam loking for 2 Bearings for the rear axle AA 1931

Hello Ronnie,

I have some NOS AA-1225-D rear wheel bearings. These are the 1 3/4" long ones that required 2 per hub. I would like $60.00 each for them. I'd have to check on what the shipping would be to Denmark though.

Re: AAC trucks

Hello Den, According to the Candian-Austrailian Service Bulletins, the wire spoke wheel was used from 1-1-28 to 9-30-28, when it then changed to the Canadian Budd disc design for the rest of 1928. My Canadian parts book shows that the worm drive was only listed for 1928. There were two body companie...

Re: Rear Axle (Worm) Issues

Hello Mike, Since no one else made any suggestions as what may be your problem, I thought maybe I could offer a few suggestions. In the May 1929 Service Bulletins they describe how to check the squareness of the rear face of the axle housing by installing a dial indicator to the worm shaft, jacking ...
