Re: pistons

Hello and welcome, I believe you maybe asking if the pistons have there positions stamped 1-2-3-4 in there respective cylinders, normally no, someone may have done so, if you are going to refit the pistons then you should mark them.

Re: Long mirror arm

Hello Neil, I must have met the guy that made the long arms at Escondido Cruising Grand July 2015 to much of a coincidence, here are pictures of those same mirrors, they are on a early 28 high rear window, that he has owned for 50 plus years, which sat for most of that time until he was ready to do ...

Re: First startup and drive

Hello Stakebed, Congratulations on your first drive, I have been following your progress over the years, a long hard road, that noise sounds like the U-joint between the trans and Hi and Low unit rubbing on the cover, I have a similar but much fainter sound when coasting at low speed, there is fair ...

Re: A project in mind

I have been thinking for sometime about that extra gear that our Double A"s need, a Warford would be the easy way and would not require any adaption for the 28-29s, the asking price might be fair, unless after fitting you find out its a yard ornament, buyer beware. I have 2 Laycock O-drives, th...

Re: Rear main on my AA

Should you decide on the inserted bearings be sure to add a full flow oil filter, inserts have no problem using the stock non pressurized oiling system. Seek out a rebuilder that is familiar with installing inserts, ---- babbitt is more forgiving of any dirty particles in the oil, most recommend sta...
