Re: Thermal Dynamics
What did you have for coolant when you last measured the temperature? Distilled water with "Water Wetter" will cool better than anti-freeze. Today's antifreeze contains glycol. When glycol is run in a slow-flowing radiator it won't cool as well as water. With slow flow rates, there is a &q...

Re: Thermal Dynamics
Kim, that's a great question. I'll take a shot at it, but I'm sure there's some engine guys out there that can do better. First, the following is from Wikipedia regarding ignition timing: =============== The need for advancing (or retarding) the timing of the spark is because fuel does not completel...

These lug nuts are a challenge to make and I haven't found anyone to make them yet. Are you offering?

I'm wondering if in your "ton of stuff" you might have some early '28 lug nuts? See picture.

Re: Manley crane identification
Thank you oldtimetowing for your response. I too was surprised that it lacked the swivel head, which I feel would have made it much more desirable. I'll share this with my friend as I'm sure he will be interested to hear this information.
Thanks,
Brian

Manley crane identification
A friend of mine has a Manley crane as shown in the attached pictures. It has a Manley tag but with only a serial number and no model or capacity identification. Can anyone identify this unit? The entire crane appears to be able to pivot on a lower support frame, but I wasn't able to get close enoug...

WTB Early AA spindle bolt locking pins
I'm looking for a pair of 1928 AA spindle bolt locking pins. Please see the attached photo. These would be the early version where the lock pin is one-piece with the head, which serves as the spindle stop. The head is a little longer than the "A" version, as shown in the picture. The pin i...
