Back out the brake adjusting wedge and then try tapping the top of the shoe in,
the brake shoe link may be stuck with old dried grease.

And a hair is .004"

I went and measured the holes and they are just a hair under 3/8".

Here is a not to good picture of the door bottom. The holes are about 5/16" maybe a little bigger.

Most of the stems I have are like the ones in the above picture I posted. I use an air chuck like this.

All the stems face the same way.toward the split ring.

I working on an axle and the pins I have are 8 5/8".

I took some more pictures of three different cabs and I notice some parts are wider than others, in fact one cab has
a wide one on one side and a narrow one on the other.

You should be able to get the bearing and race out without damaging them, see the link.
I searched for a long time before I was able to locate the bearing and race.
