Re: 32 BB Spare tire carrier beam needed...
I just did a guestimate shipping quote from Nanaimo, BC, to Virginia and it came to about $65 based on my guesses of dimensions and weight. In the next day or two, I will get a more exact quote for you based on the actual weight and size of the carrier once I get it down from the parts attic in my g...

Re: 32 BB Spare tire carrier beam needed...
I have one that I kept from a 32 BB that I sold off. It is different than the one pictured though. It is just one strap, rather than the two joined in a vee shape like in the photo. If I recall, there were some curved pieces of metal riveted to the second to last crossmember. These curved pieces wou...

Re: Guidance for installing wheelwells AA '31 Panel Delivery
It sounds like you are trying to put dual sidemounts on this truck? The green McMillan book has a reprint of an ad for a panel body like you describe, with the third door. It sounds like you have quite a rare truck there. edit. sorry just re-read your first post saying you would like to put a spare ...

Wrong forum, try the HAMB.
I also suggest rewording "whells both" to "wheels bolt" pattern.

Re: Tire cage for 20" split rims
Bruce, spdway1 has it here. Any commercial shop will be able to do it, or mobile tire trucks. These guys fix forklift tires all the time, and many of them are still split rim. They have portable safety cages they bring with them. You might want to check into the cost of them coming to you. If you ar...

Opening Night of Walt Disney's Snow White
My wife is a Disney freak, and is slowly dragging me into the vortex also. The history of the man and the early days of his film studio and park is what is particularly interesting to me, and my wife found this photo on some website and saved it for me. It is a small photo and I'm not sure how to en...

Re: platform stake sides
My guess would be that the bottom board would have been very wide and used the 3 pair of lower holes, then you would have a narrower board above that held on with the upper 2 pair. I think Neil said somewhere that a grain bed had tight fitting boards with a metal edging to keep the grain in. You cou...

He spells like a French Canadian. Up here 60 kph equals about 40 mph. If you go by that logic, then I've had my AA up over 70.

Re: What is compatable from 31-35
There is not much, if any, parts that would interchange. A friend of mine bought a rough '36 2 ton a few years back and paid $1100. I would say, it is like anything, condition is what counts, but I don't think there are many people out there who would pay more than $10k for even the nicest old Ford ...

Re: 600 versus 650
Dan, I would recommend you get the 6.00s for the front. Anything bigger and you will likely have rubbing issues on the front brake rods when turning lock to lock.
The 6.50s out back give you a marginal advantage of a higher rear gear.

I'm running 6.50s on duals, with the 31-33 style rims. No rubbing issues loaded or empty.
