Harry,
The "C" in your engine number means it is Canadian, the US made
only have "AA" not "CAA" like yours.

The JUDGING STANDARDS say the 1/2" starter was use through September 1928.

Larry, Page 413 of the Service Bulletins has the complete servicing instructions
for the bevel gear axle. The pinion end play should be .002" or a free rolling fit
and should be rechecked after tightening the jam nut.

Dave, According to the parts book you could buy the ring and pinion individually or
as a matched set. The matched set says for passenger service.

There is a slot in the differential flange or pinion flange, can't remember which, that the cork
gasket goes in. You may have to dig around to find it as it will be smashed flat with the metal.

Luke, The ring gear is the same but the pinion has bigger splines and bearings.
I think it would work if you changed the drive shaft and coupling shaft.
