Re: leaf spring restoration

I was only going on the word restoration which means to return to the condition when new.

[1929 Ford 003.JPG It a 29cab on 31 frame 131 wheel base flatbed running boards stop at end of cab. Please just measure from ground to end of running boards
Are you sure that isn't an Early 1930? They used the '29 sheet metal and the new frame.

Re: leaf spring restoration

That is painting, not restoring. I took my springs to a truck suspension shop and had them re arched.

Re: Reproduction Express Bed panels

I have a really rusted bed. What is not rusted is dented. Missing tail gate. I wish I could find a metal former to make replacements. I am sure I am not the only person who would buy them.

OK, This NOT a timing pin. It is much larger. It was in the boxes of parts from my Early '30 AA project.

Re: Utilli TT overdrive

If it was from a '29 AA it is a Dual High unit. It will not fit a TT.

Re: good running Model A engine $250

Simply putting a high compression head on it would give it more umph.

Re: What happens when a flat occurs

Having to spend a month working in my units tire shop in Viet Nam I learned one very important thing. Always be on the inside of a split rim wheel when airing it. If the ring decides to take flight is is going away from you.
