Re: Spring pack dissassembled (lots of pics)
Farrell: I know zip about welding, but I'd like to take a shot at MIG welding. So, does the frame absolutely have to be flipped over to weld the pivot pins? Or, did you just do that because it's easier? I've got the front end assembly attached to my frame and would rather not unhitch it, if I don't ...

Neil:
You stated that the photos are those of a supposedly original 82B cab. If so, then saggy paint with runs is original because they are in the photos. I guess my painting skills aren't all that bad! I've heard often that most AA's are "over" restored.

Sounds like you're most definitely on the right path to me! It's great that the truck is still in the family and that it has sentimental value to you. Do your truck the way you want to do it.

Re: What happened to my springs...
Stakebed: Not only do your springs look extremely pitted, so does your frame and spring-hangers. What's your objective with this AA? If you're not going for a show truck, why invest $ for a different set of springs? You may find that the leaves are perfectly fine once you take the spring stacks apar...

Does anybody know if the Ford Motor Company offered mud flaps as an accessory for any of the AA's?
Thanks in advance,

Good chance it's a Ford Model TT bed, not an AA bed. Back in the day (just like the present), you could buy trucks without beds on them. Then, you could stick a bed on the truck of your liking. You might have had an old TT bed sitting around, so why buy a new bed?

Re: hi lo
Dan: I had a 1928 Model AA Dumptruck with a three-speed tranny in it and a hi-lo aux tranny. This was back in the 1970's. If I recall correctly, the main tranny had to be in neutral or you had to push in the clutch while engaging the aux-tranny. Both when the truck is standing still. Then, you could...

I seriously toyed with the idea of buying your truck, but I'm really happy that it's staying in B.C. Is it a Canadian-built truck? If so, that's even better!

Re: Wanted rear spring seat
Matt: A number of years ago, an AA friend (Rob) of mine in Melbourne, Australia was in need of AA rear spring seats. I informed him that I had a couple of extras (I no longer do). I suppose his AA was made in Canada or Australia. My extra rear spring seats came off an American-made AA. So, I asked R...

Re: AA Truck Club shirt design
All, I agree with Chris in regards to the white lettering. I believe all black lettering would look best. I think the front of the shirt is too busy. I like the FORD logo and the stuff around it on the left chest, I'd remove the truck and white lettering. And, I'd still prefer a '30/'31 cab AA on th...
