Or, bore it oversize and have a bushing made to fit. All will be better than new.

Ok - I ca feel a small amount of wear on the bottom of pivot on the inner 1/3 but not to bad. I ordered new bushings and hope that they will be big enough to tighten them up. With good roads and only 2000 miles a year unloaded should last my lifetime. You will be fine. Put it together and don't wor...

Only if they don't fit on the mounting spindle. Remember to get the grease hole lined up.

Good Idea, Grade 8 will do the job. I would not rely on Nylock nuts. I'd Use lock washers and " Loctite ".

my two cents: Cut the old one out and make a new shaft to weld in. If it is 'bent up', that sounds like a major bend / issue. I'd rebuild it straight.

This all assuming you have access to machine shop.

Put it up under the back of the bed where they go originally. Get the hanger and bolt it on. Original and looks appropriate.

My understanding is that If no interior mirror, because of blocked rear window, then two outside mirrors are required. ( this is for modern autos). I'd do what Neal said. Do what is requested in a non-destructive way to the truck, get the paper work done, then remove it.. Suction cups on windows, ma...
