Jim,
We have a whole early 28 chassis we'd love to get rid of! In all seriousness, I think we may have a couple rear motor mounts. Aren't the front motor mounts the crossmember? I know we have some wire wheels, but shipping is a PITA.

Re: Email from former non-member, Now Member Vintage Jet
My vote is a '34 because it appears to have the larger bolt circle for the floating axles.

Re: Cleaning out our stash
Shiloh8548,
I'm sure we have some spring perches. I'm pretty sure all of them are still in axles. I don't know what kind of shape they're in though. I haven't been over there in a while, so I'll have to make a list of stuff to search for.

Re: 1928 and 1929 bevel gear rear axles
oldnrusty1, Are you referring to the bevel gear that looks like a car rear end, just much larger and heavier? If so, I don't believe there are much of any parts that switch over to the 30-31 bevel rear axle, but could be mistaken. Those rear axles are quite uncommon, if not rare, especially when the...

Re: 1930ish with BB cab
With that later cab, what does it use for a fuel tank? I can't imagine that there is enough vacuum to pull gas from a tank under the seat. Can you get us more photos?

Bond___vagabond,
What axles do you have on your truck? Depending on which axles you have, you may not want to switch rims. Let me talk to my father and see when I can get some photos and a price. Whereabouts are you in Vermont? I have some family up there.

Re: Snyders antiquauto
Those running boards are 29 1/2" long. If you are looking for metric they should be close to 749 cm- that's just figuring it in my head, so it's probably not correct.

Re: rear axle of the car Ford AA 1931
I think he's looking for a product like "speedi sleeves" that is a repair sleeve that goes over an existing race. I know that they make them for Dana and Sterling axles. You might be able to cross reference something that will work? You might be better off welding the races and machining t...

I would be careful about how much sand gets in between the drum and backing plate. I would certainly plan on taking the drums off after sandblasting.

I would say it's a camber issue. They're not adjustable other than new kingpin bushings.

Re: Flap or Duct tape ?
KVO, Are you driving the truck down the road? Are you using new tires and tubes? If using new tires and tubes I think it would be foolish to not get flaps. If it's just for a doodlebug or something around the yard, I guess you could use duct tape. If you use duct tape, you may very well have a harde...
