Re: Small update with some pics.
The front backing plates and all brake parts attached to them are the same as the A.

Re: seat bottom upholstery
The original seat cushion for the 82-A closed cab and the 82-B closed cab do not have a wood frame. The seat cover has a bead sown around the bottom edge of the skirt. The bead is inserted into the channel around the bottom edge of the spring and the channel is crimped around the bead. It is hard to...

Re: high speed gears for my 29 AA rear end.
I have never replaced the seals. But, the seals are installed inside of the axle housings. So, a tool needs to be made to allow old seal to be removed and the new seal to be installed. Hopefully, someone has done this and will provide details. Anyone know of a source for the seals?? The high speed w...

Re: seat bottom upholstery
Here is one (poor) photograph of an original 82-B cab seat cushion upholstery. The picture looks like the same design as an original 82-A upholstery seat cushion I have.

Re: Small update with some pics.
All '28/'29 AA's had A sized front brake shoes. All AA's had only right hand lug nuts until mid February '29. Until late '28, the AA wheel nuts had a 15/16" hex and looked like a top hat. The first design was taller and a shorter second design started in mid '28. The first acorn nuts (starting ...

Re: Small update with some pics.
The front spring is an AA part - AA-3510. It is a 12 leave spring and all leaves are unique to the AA except the #12 (top) leaf which is the same as the #10 (top) leaf on the A spring.

Re: Hub cabs for 20" wire wheels
These hub caps are not being reproduced. Finding them is hard and finding platable ones is even harder. The earliest caps have "Ford made in U.S.A." on them like the early A hub caps (probably through Feb. 1928). After that they have "Ford" only. I have found that the Ford script...

Re: express bed fender , left
What was the condition of the fender? If it is excellent condition, you can always offer him $200. He will either laugh or counter offer. You can always walk away (fishing or not). It could be he just has no idea how hard these fenders are to find.

Re: New Member with AA
The A's and AA's were produced into early 1932. Aldie Johnson is the editor for the Postal A's and his e-mail is ModelA.Mail@verizon.net.

Re: AA Disc Wheels to AA Wire Wheels
You should look for an original wheel nut wrench and handle. It has the 1-1/2" hex on one end and the square on the other end. Most that I see on Ebay are shorter than what is specified in the Judging Standards. But, they would work just fine and are usually cheap. A metal rod (maybe 3/4")...

Re: New Member with AA
If you have a USPS Mail Truck, then it is an entirely different body. Ford sold the cowl and chassis and a different company made/installed the postal body. I don't have any pictures of postal trucks. There are both A and AA versions.
Post a picture of what you have.

Re: New Member with AA
The good news is that the AA truck cabs (82-A through June 1930 and 82-B from July 1930 to end of production) are the same as for the A. Vendors have upholstry kits for both style of cabs.

Hello HKDude,
Send me an e-mail with a list of the parts you need. I should have most of them from rear axles I have taken apart. I will check out your list and send pictures.
