Express bed

Does anyone out there have, (and can post) some pictures of an express bed?
I am interested in seeing how the are properly mounted to the frame.
Are there two versions of these beds for the 131" and the 157" Frames?
Inquiring minds would like to know.
Much obliged for any info.

Re: U Joint

A bunch of guys seem to be having this problem lately, I know theres a couple of other threads on it. I have one for a four speed, I think is what someone told me. If anyone needs the one I posted on the other threads let me know. Scott I need either repair bits or an entire servicable unit. What w...

Re: Coupling shaft

That is the same as my U-joint. One question: It is stated that this is a "rebuildable" type of U-joint. How would one go about rebuilding it with no parts available? Bob it got a little late last night so I did not thoroughly inspect the male and female of the joints. I would imagine they...

Coupling shaft

I began degreasing the shaft and pulling it apart and found some big problems. The Shaft tube housing (AA-4810) at the trans mission end has completle grenaded itself in three pieces. The Ujoint is coupletely shot and the tube itself is in pretty tough shape. It doesn't look good for new bits so I a...

Re: Finally The Right Sound

I know what you mean, my truck came with a crappy can on it and sounded like a chevy six!
With glee I tore it off and chucked in the scrap pile so it will never harm anyone again!

Re: Frame restoration

Here's some pix of the beast. Looking at the laft and right side of the axle you can see the axle carriers are canted at different angles. Would this be due to a bent spring? http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa437/FarrellinVancouver/My%20AA%20Truck/P8010634.jpg http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums...

Photo video Test

Hope this works. The video is of my youngest daughter and I firing up the heap for the first time. It would only run on the rear two slugs but the smile on her face was worth it. She will inherit the truck when I finsh the bucket list. http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa437/FarrellinVancouver/My%...

OK back from holidays, now I would like to post some pictures and perhaps recieve some wise council or derisive laughter.
Anyone care to tutor me on how to post snaps?

Re: Frame restoration

Gunmetal, Pic will come soon, I have not had a chance to do anything since dragging her home, and I am taking the Wife and Kids on holiday into the Exited States of America for two weeks. Chris, no Frame No.s as she is a typical Canadian. Engine number looks low for a 31 but have not cleaned it enou...

Frame restoration

Hello gents! Well I have been a bit of a lurker here while searching for a new project. Last Sunday I secured what I am told is the running gear-drive line of an early 131.5" 1931 Frame and running gear. This truck has the tapered frame rails and a lot of years of abuse. To me it looks like she...
