You do have some options with the heat problem: You could go to a 4 blade or 6 blade cooling fan. If you have the original radiator, you could have it boiled and backflushed. Information I have is that the Dual Wheel equipment wasn't offered as an option on the AA Truck until 1930. That doesn't mean it can't be done and I'm sure others here may have done it, or tried to do it.

If you replace the pins...replace the bushings, and you'll need to ream out the new bushings for the pins to fit.

You should have a tight fit on the kingpins. Elevate the front end, and grab the top and bottom of your front wheel tire. If you are able to rock it back and forth, you probably need new pins.
