Re: Alignment of parts

Russ,
Switch the pivots left to right that bolt to the frame, looking at your first picture they look to be offset.

Re: 28/29 brake help

Hello Steve, As Neil said you will need a axle to bring back to stock, however it appears the way it is set up now you still have a emergency brake, someone connected them to the main levers similar to the way the early “A”s were ,except they used the front and rear brakes. The cross shafts are corr...

Re: 28/29 brake help

Hello Steve, You say your cab is a 79-A, which was at one time a “A“ panel delivery not “AA” , how do you know this ? , I don’t think it matters much anyway as the cabs were probably alike, the back part having been cut off. The frame # is for a July 29 so your brakes system should be the same as mi...

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge

Hello Tom I have attached the only picture I could find to show where the oil pressure gauge fits, this picture is from James Rogers Dreamwerks web site, on your engine there is no oil return pipe but it has the same plug. You can see the plug in the block above the bulge in the oil pan, this where ...

Re: '30 Bud Wheel needed SoCal?

I shall be there, what’s the chances you may have a spare wheel carrier for a 1929 131 WB AA truck, something else on my wish list would be metal stakes for a stake bed.
I printed of the flyer for the meet , maybe you could post it on the forum ,so more locals may show up.

Re: Picture Posting

Hello Jared, Sorry I can’t help you with the paint code, the closest maybe Bronson yellow which was used on some model A cars, this is strictly a guess though, they were mostly painted Moss Green, or Black and some other colors on special order. What you see here was probably painted about 12 years ...

Re: Picture Posting

PICTURE TEST. Hello Dave, Thanks for the tips, I looked for pictures under 100k and it worked like a champ, adjusting the size down using Photo bucket was definitely a PITA .you sure have to play with it somewhat to get it right, it does have some good editing features though. BTW, was it still rain...

Re: Picture Posting

OK so I erased my pictures in my album, I reinstalled them so they now show again (see brake springs), is there something that as to been done to make them permanent on the forum (or elsewhere) so when I am purging pictures that I don’t want they stay posted.

Re: Identify plate

In addition before the wheel offsets were changed , which was done to stop the dual wheels with 650x20 tires from rubbing together at the bottom causing overheating , spacers were a way to fix this , I don’t believe they were a Ford sanctioned fix ?.

Re: Identify plate

Hello Shorthaul,
Maybe a crudely made spacer for Budd dual wheels? Certainly doesn’t look like anything Henry made.
