Re: Leaking exhaust manifold.

Sonny,
You mention that this was after a total rebuild. Did you have the manifold side of the block decked and the intake / exaust manifolds machined flat while bolted together?

Re: floorboard info

Dan I would be able to get you a template of the floor boards that I made for my truck. I found it to be quite a challenge to make it with the individual dovetailed boards. If your truck is a later 29 the plywood would be correct. Either way the template will work. Does your truck have the hand brak...

Re: AA rear fender brackets wanted

Unfortunately I was not able to get back in touch with Bud before someone else got the fender brackets. So I'm still looking. Even if you just have one I'd be interested.
Thanks,
Dave

So how much does a transmission weigh?

Met a gent at a car show and said that he has and extra transmission under the work bench. Said he would take a dollar per pound for it.

Re: Dealer price of a 29 AA?

Thanks Radar. Good information to share with folks.
Drew I'd buy a bunch of them at that price but then I couldn't afford a building big enough to put them in.

Dealer price of a 29 AA?

Anyone know what a 1929 AA with a 131" wheel base and the dual high would have sold for when new?

Re: Roof install - pneumatic stapler or original tacks?

Drew, Never having done this myself but I will be doing it very soon. I plan on using tacks as they can be driven in halfway until all is set correctly and then set the rest of the way. Also I would think that tacks being of a more durable material would be more resistant to long term weathering (ru...

Re: Why Is It Backfiring

Why is it that you use premium gas? Correct me if I am wrong but from what I understand the higher octain rating of premium gas is to prevent pre-ignition (pinging) in high performance / high compression engines. The lower octaine gasolines are much better suited for lower compession engines.
