Non-Ford dump
My truck came with a home made/shop made gravity dump deck on it I have all the scrap iron to rebuild it but my question is -Would one lose points at a show for using it? Obviously the truck came as a cab and chassis and someone added the deck. I am curious to know what the show standards dictate in...

Re: gas tank rust
That's what I like about this forum-There's a solution for every budget!! A Model T buddy of mine used to use coarse aquarium gravel -it had sharp corners.Just shake it around like a Martini !! Den

Offer what you can afford and don't feel bad if it's less than he wants.Remember charity begins at home and there's a lot more time and money to be invested before it hits the pavement again. It's not about making money for most of us-it's about Model AA trucks and keeping them going a few more year...

#4 crossmember
Why was the #4 crossmember humped in the early AA's? Was it a leftover TT item which may have had a spring init? Was it to clear the driveshaft under heavy loads? Any one know? Den

Re: Trailer info. I'v found
There's not much room for anything when these lumber down the road. Lucky for me I was in the Logging truck! And they don't stop! That's why I worry about our fellow forum members putting trailers on Model AA's. I remember Dad havin' the brakes set up on his "A" -works good loaded don't wo...

Re: Trailer info. I'v found
Careful what you wish for The industry has spent years making trucks safe.I started on vacumm brakes and have never forgot powering out out a hill and having only one stab at the brakes and then there was none-I learned to back up quickly! Air brakes and the neccessary valveing is safe but not Model...

options for the Model AA
I was perusing the bill of sale that is in my 1965 Falcon and was amazed at how little was available as options compared to today. My question is how much of an option list was available for an AA truck and are aftermarket options[other than Ford] a liability at shows? Den

Re: newbie speed questions (31 AA 157" dually)
So what's this obsession with going fast? You'll only get there sooner and have to turn around and go home! I can hardly wait to build my truck and see the world at thirty-five mph I'll see stuff you'll be so busy trying to stay on the road you'll miss the journey!! However it is your journey and by...

Re: Universal Transmisson Co
Maybe a dumb question but like Model T owners switching to A's with a clutch ,how did they shift the Aux. with no clutch?I shifted the big trucks just by backing off the throttle etc but never having driven a T I was wondering. Den
