Howdy Edgy from MT. I've nuthin' helpful for ya on this, but plenty of folks here do though. They'll be dropping by shortly. They've got pics too, with circles and arrows and other cool stuff. :D

Welcome to the group. Pics are mandatory, so lets get that camera charged up, hum?

Re: Just whining about repop parts

Howdy Bill. Feel better now? 110 mph is nearly terminal velocity, so unless you plan to drive 'er off a cliff don't sweat that part. As slow as these babies are, you can pretty much reach down and catch parts as they fall off. Catasrophic failure of a critical part will usually just bring ya ...

Re: Wanted Front Longest spring for very late 1931 AA

Howdy Dave. I've got the spring you're looking for i think. Mine is the larger one, as opposed to the car sized spring for '28-29. If those are the only two sizes there were, you're in business. I'm thinkin' shipping cant be cheap on the heavy mutha, but at least i'm here in Ca with ya. Cost is ship...

Hey Dave. If craigslist doesn't pan out, just putting out a wanted post on this forum will most likely shake a good one loose for ya.

Re: Cracked flywheel housing.

Howdy Dave. If it were myself, i wouldn't miss the opportunity to put in a good replacement while i'm already there. The two uppers being cracked would be a pretty big deal to me. Good replacements are plentiful and cheap.

Best, russ

OK Dan. Now i get it. Like Art and others, i have high praise for the "under the cap" electronic ignition. Big difference in idle smoothness among other benefits.

Re: spring perch removal and axel problems

My sympathies to ya. I've done the same mushroom job. Don't recall how i got it out. I'm guessing you've already tried to rotate it. I'd give ya my good spare but i doubt you'd want to pay shipping CA-LA.
