No need to get rubber caps from the hardware store to check your radiator. Just put a couple layers of plastic bag over the outlet tube and secure it with rubber bands. If it holds water dump it out and add some straight simple green then slosh it around once in a while for a couple of days.

Re: Turned over the first time
That would be the correct direction. Take a video of the first start up to share.
Fun stuff this is.

It will help to lightly clamp the light switch to one of the spokes on the steering wheel to keep the horn rod from moving up when you push up on the spider. Use a standard screw driver to push up on the spider and grab the clip with a needle nose pliers.

Re: Horn rod question.
Didn't think about it not working as well with out the engine running. Went out and fired it up and.... not so good. Looked through the catalogs about a million times but never picked up on the kit to rebuld the rod. Think I might give that a go.

Horn rod question.
I've been working on my horn rod and am having trouble getting a good toot out of the horn by using the horn button. I know the horn is good since I've had it rebuilt and I have it temporarly wired with a door bell type button. I've pulled the rod out and cleaned both contacts on the ends, inside of...

Re: AA wire wheels
Look at http://www.modelthaven.com/pww.html They are the '28/'29 steel spoke wheels. Hello Neil, Did Ford ever use the spoke wheels on the early 29,s ? Brian, My January 29 had the 6 hole wheels on it when I got it but the hubs were still the correct ones to fit the wire spoke wheels. I was able to...

Advice needed on replacing the glass in my windshield frame.
I'm to the point that I can put the new glass in my windshield frame. I have the rubber setting material but before I dive into it I would appreciate a bit of advice from others that have already replaced the glass in their windshield frame.

Re: How to determine value of my restored '32 BB truck?
I just renewed with Hagerty. They will have you send them some recent photos and then you can discuss the value from there. I've been very pleased with their customer service and the rates seem pretty reasonable.

On Google Earth it looks like they painted the main drive to the museum as a runway. Nice touch. The spruce goose would be pretty interesting to see.
