Re: Spindle Bolt and Bearing
Here is a better picture. The "ball" leans forward with respect to center line of the axle. The bearing is below the axle. Slip the pin in but before driving the wedge retaining pin completely home place the brake shaft assembly in place to make sure everything lines up correctly. I have h...

Re: Shift tower oil leak
It is a BB tower on an AA box. I have collected about a dozen or so 4 speed transmissions at various swap meets for between $5 and $30 each, mostly for the cluster gear shaft, since that item is no longer available anywhere. I like to have quiet transmissions, and that shaft is galled up on many. I ...

Shift tower oil leak
Attached is a picture of a BB tower (on the right) and an AA tower (on the left). Notice the extended shifter rail bosses and plugs on the end. The front end is the same on both towers with no plugs. This solves half of the rail oil leakage. Steve.

Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
Hi to all of you AA truck guys, this truck is worth more than the $8,000 that he is asking. I would buy it myself but I already have an express and 10 other model AAs/As. It is property tax time and Christmas is arriving so the season is not the correct season to sell a truck for what is it worth. A...

BB truck for sale
Attached are pictures of A BB truck located 35 miles west of me and 60 miles north of Sacramento,CA. The truck is parked a ways from the fence, so the signs are hard to read. $14,000 and the phone 530-743-1314 can be made out. It has sat at the farm all summer with the for sale sign on it. I can mak...

Re: Front spring tie bolt predicament
Coat the length of the bolt with never-seize, it will help prevent the leaves from sawing through the bolt and it will protect the threads when assembling the spring pack. Steve.

Re: Dodge PW/M37 wheels on AA, plan a
Hi, I have had over a hundred power wagons, WWII Dodges, and M-37s. The center of the wheel never touched the hubs on any of them. All of the weight rode on the studs only. I have overloaded some of my trucks and never encountered sheared studs, cracked wheels, or damaged wheel bearings. Steve.

Re: Front Spindle Problem
Hi, Are you sure that the spindle was not bent before the procedure? Why did you use a press to get the old bushings out? One does not need a 20 ton press to replace a bronze bushing, whether spindle, steering sector housing, pedal bushings, etc. I place the bushings in the freezer for a few hours, ...
