I picked up a 28 roadster pickup without the body piece behind the seat and the 2 pieces that come off that to meet the doors. I'm having a hard time finding what parts I need.

Assembly Drawings
Are there assembly drawings showing how parts go together such as all parts used in cab assembly? Maybe I’ve been searching with wrong terminology or words. Any help will get me going on my recent purchase.

Engine Vin Numbers
The engine vin numbers on my recent purchase are not visible. I can make out a star and A and that's it. Is there any way I can bring the other numbers into view? My buddy said to put acid over the area but I'm not sure about that.

More Pep
I've had my truck almost 15 years and finally did a tune job. New points, plugs and condenser. I replaced the upper distributor body, new lower plate with fresh pigtail and timed it. It has so much pep now, wow. I've never gone as fast as it wants to go now. Marty

I was looking to see who won the rebuilt engine in the raffel.
Any news on this?

Engine Rebuild
I want to have my engine rebuilt and want someone who knows what they are doing. I'd like to have it rebuilt with new tech equipment, like the that is being raffeled. Anybody know of a rebuilder in, around or close to the Tulsa area?

Re: Rebuilt Headlights
Better late than never. I took one of the light sockets out and found the contact wires were getting a little sloppy. I found a second disk with a longated slot for the wires to go thru. I put some schrink tubing over the wires all the way to the disk and that made them a little stiffer. I shoved th...

Rebuilt Headlights
I have finished running all new wires for head and tail lights. I have a problem with the headlight bulbs. I hardwired the headlight socket and now the contact disk is free to spin, which doesn't allow the bulb contacts to match up. How can I keep the disks in one position?

Alternator vs Generator
I would think this has been discussed here before.
I want to know what is involved in replacing my standard 6v generator with a 6v alternator.
I'm not an electrician.

Re: Headlight Question
You are right Neil, my headlights have only one socket. The bulb has 2 seperate filaments, one for driving and one for high beam I believe. I plan on finishing up this weekend and testing all my new lights and hope they work like I think they will.

Headlight Question
There are no dumb questions, right?
Learning about my truck lights and wires has been fun.
Question: The headlight bulb has 2 filaments. I believe the short one is on for driving. My question is: are both filaments on when high beams are swithed on?
An auto electirican I am not,
