Re: Turn signal ideas

My project is a long way from needing lights, but I have been thinking about this. I really don’t like the modern looking lights. Not sure, thought about fog lights on front and use regular Ford tail lights? Use what ever you prefer. I like to not go drilling holes in anything original, I have mine...

Re: Turn signal ideas

I pieced mine together. Rears are from a Ford tractor, clamped onto the bottom of the bed so no holes. Fronts are some rectangle chrome plastic that fit between the frt. bumper rails. One thing I did was to glue the wires directly under the bumper supports so you can't see the wires. Rear wires are ...

Re: Height of the bed

I think your on something!! build up a prototype and check for functionality. If you use aluminum tube stakes (painted black) and have smaller tube to slide thru to tie them together, I could see that working well. Trick will be to keep as light as possible. I'd like to see pictures as you go along....

Re: Height of the bed

Make a slide out " bed" aka ramp the full length of the bed. I have seen some pick up truck 'slide outs' . but not used as ramps. Or mount the bed as low as possible. Can the springs be reworked for a lower ride also? And or, telescoping ramps, so they get really long. I do like the idea o...

What is considered the "correct new stuff"?
Just about any "new" grease will do the job. I use the red stuff. Sticks well. When i run out of that I just grab the green stuff. They all will work..

Re: Paint colors, ANd mirror placement.

paint idea!! I have not tried it (yet). But why not go with original colors and then "jazz" it up with that new pint that you can peal off!?? Still stick with the 'original' and also have creative freedom...

My mirror is high on the left. Round... Check out some photos...
