Rear leaf spring forward link bolt
I am trying to determine the pitch of the forward shackle 3/4 nut. This is the lower bolt as the top bolt does not have a nut. And yes this is not the center pivot bolt, as I believe that is much bigger. So I tried a 3/4 16, not sure if this is the one, snug to start. Help.

Copies from Japan
Turns out Henry went to Japan to built a plant in 1932, which lasted till 1945 for obvious reasons. I just went to Nissan Car museum and was taken by the striking resemblance to the Ford Motor and Car, al be it smaller.

Re: Spindle stamping
So I know I have seen Ford Trucks on TT flatbeds, but I am not sure if they were made by Ford, so is this the first time ford put the words TRUCK on their vehicles, just a fun thought. I am sure Neil knows..

Spindle stamping
All, I was just replacing king pin bushings and noticed that the spindle bracket said TRUCK on the back of it. Is this the only place Ford used the word Truck on my 29 AA? Just a thought.

Re: Timken numbers
Bob, Thanks for the info. To be clear, I don't know if my front end is an early 30 or '29, but I will take a picture and post it. What I do know is that the picture of the bearing on this thread came off my truck and as you can see it is stamped aa1201. When I recently received the Timken 1680 repla...

Re: Timken numbers
Ok, so I ordered the AA1201 bearing or Timken 1680, and the bearing does not fit, it is too small. While my bearing is broken, the inner race of the aa1201 has the following markings, is AA 1201 M M different from AA1201 AR

I have a 29 and the AA numbers for inner cone bearing and cup are 1201 &1202 and the outer bearings and cup is 1216 &1217. Does anyone know the correct Timken numbers, apparently Mac's does not.

Ok, I am good with the rivets but how do I screw the top of the pocket in, not a lot of room. What is the wood for? Decoration?
