Good answer, Brady. I, for one, get tired of ready posts by those who I think have posting diarrhea.

That is Fran Pagnotta's truck. It was shown at Renninger's meet at Bird-in-Hand, PA on Sunday 4/26/09. It won AACA Senior award at Hershey '08.

Re: 4 blade or 2 blade fan

I agree with Mr. Moore. These cracks are easy to see, and in my over 40 years with Model A's I've never had one fail, but I have detected some starting to crack. These I have repaired. There is usually a distinct wailing sound emitted from them when the crack is flexing when running. People may thin...

Re: Bratton's Covers

Most of the truck ads with elaborate scenery were drawn by Peter Helck. Later, photos were used and they are very unexciting. The Model A F...

Re: Back fires under a load on the engine

I think Dave is probably pretty close to it on this. I find from driving my A's that this back firing is more likely caused by having the low idle stop screw adjusted to allow too high of an idle speed. Sometimes this is done when the idle circuit is not working right and the screw is turned so that...

The story of the 1931 mail trucks and their production into 1932 is covered on the website of the St. Louis Car Museum, along with a zillion pictures (good ones). See http://www.stlouiscarmuseum.com/stlcarm ... asp?id=595
