At least they responded to you. Howell's Sheetmetal never responded when I told them the panel they made for me was wrong and couldn't be used.

My Early '30 axle has a tag with nothing stamped into it. A plain flat tag. But it is the high speed 5:14 gearing.

My May 1930 has a twist loc cap.

It is an early 1930. Which is kind of misleading as they were produced till June of 1930. The late 1930's are far more rare. The 1928 Wires won't fit it.
It is hard to tell from the photo. Do you have a screw on or twist lock gas cap?

I took the KR Wilson tool book, my rear hub and drum to a fabricator to get a puller made. So now he sez he can't find my freshly restored hub and drum with a NOS bearing in it. So much for taking projects to the experts.

My early 1930 Express will carry three spares. One underneath and one on each side of the bed.

The question is do you have the correct door for a wheel well spare?

Scroll down the forums to March 18, 2008 and you can see a pair of front AA backing plates with hydraulic cylinders and AA shoes. Rears would be done the same way. I can figure out how to install the hydraulic units. I just need to know what Year/Model will fit. Hopefully not something as old as 19...

I am very interested in any information you have on converting a AA to hydraulic brakes. Specifically what shoes and wheel cylinder fits.

Have ya tried Kroil or PB Blaster? The adjuster is obvilously rusted and ya need to remove the rust before it will turn.
