Re: Mystery Rear Shackle

Neil, The BB is 2 1/2" wide and the AA is 2 1/4" wide. It looks like Farrell's frame with the long shackles may have been an express at one time. I see a bracket for the splash apron, side mount spare, and rivets for running board bracket. I looked in the 32, 37, 48, US and 38 Canadian par...

Re: Help on engine noise.

Make sure you have good grounds and the generator is hooked to the battery. If
the ground is bad or the generator is not hooked to the battery is can put out
up to 40 volts and destroy itself.

Re: 1930 Model AA- Shorten Has anyone done it?

I think Johnny is right on this. You basically have this set up like a truck with an open drive line with a slip yoke where when you add weight to the truck the distance between the rear axle and the transmission decreases and the slip yoke takes it up. With the torque tube the distance between the ...

Mystery Rear Shackle

I picked up two rear shackles that I though were the longer AA-5776-BR and AA-5777-BR but
these are even longer. They are 5 7/8" center to center instead of 4 3/4", 2 1/4" wide and
7 3/4" over all. Are they possibly an after market low rider accessory

Re: Drum remover

I would get the drum to turn first, no use trashing good brake parts. I have
an old wheel that I welded a heavy piece of iron to. I bolt the wheel to the drum
and beat it with a 16lb hammer to break the rust holding the lining to the drum.
