I'm in dire need of the bearing race for the front of the torque tube. This race is spring steel like and snaps into place when seated.
Tom of Model A Works doesn't have them and it may be a while before any are made.

Re: 29 AA stakebed
I have a 29 with single wheels, do I need different running gear to run duals? I'm not familiar with the 28/29 trucks, but with the 30/31's you don't really need to do anything special except make sure you have the correct tire size for duals. 600:20 or 650:20 There are others in this forum that ha...

Re: aa spring eye bushing
mike i am far from an expert, but i'll tell you what i can . my frame is a 30, 131 wb. upon dissasembly i found it to have the two piece bushings and that makes sense to allow the grease to enter the pivot where the two halves are seperated. in my misc. bushing collettion i found two bushings i can...

Zenith 3 carb wanted
Looking for a Zenith 3 carb for the late 31 indented firewall/tank configuration. Have a brand new Z1 (off the shelf MAC's rebuild) that I would sell to finance the Z3 (I hear they are pricy).

Threaded Shift tower wanted
Looking for the later style "threaded" shifter tower, this is the later 31 style and has fine threads and I think it only has the one trunion pin hole.
Also still looking for the carb mounted filter for a late 31 indented firewall/tank setup.

Re: Looking for the following AA parts
I'm looking for the rear axle bumper pads AA-5783 and the speedo driven gear AA-17271-H, this gear has 13 teeth and a square cable hole. I found the speedo gear from the "Tired Truck Resotrations" guy, $50 plus $4 shipping. I'm also looking for the late 31 indented firewall fuel shutoff v...

Rear Spring eye bushing
Trying to locate the proper bushing for the rear spring eye. I keep seeing AA-5791 which comes in two pieces and fits the shackles, but there is a one piece bushing that should go in there (at least that is what I peeled out.) http://aa-fords.com/forum/springbush.jpg This is a picture of the front e...

Wheel Drum puller (sucess!)
Here is the puller I devised, worked really well when I put a larger center bolt in place. Just cranked that sucker down and gave it a few love taps with the sledge and she popped right off!

Wheel drum puller
Having trouble removing a set of drums from a AA rear axle. The brake adjusters are backed off all the way but no go. Heat and love taps with the 15# sledge isn't making an impression either. Was thinking of fabricating a hub puller, has anybody else done this? I was thinking of taking to 1/2" ...

Re: Brakes
Mike, The progress is great. It looks like the truck is really coming along. I noticed the rear brakes on the passenger side of the truck. I'm getting ready to re-work my brakes. Is that original type brake lining material or the modern bonded material?? How thick is that lining?? Did you install t...

Latest progress report
Made some more headway last night on the truck, nothing major but lots of little bits and pieces (which hold the bigger bits and pieces together) :) http://aa-fords.com/ahooga/aa30progress2.jpg Still waiting for the moly grease "spray" for the springs to arrive before I can attach the rear...

Re: Cadmium Plating
Hi all, I'm just about through getting my 4 speed transmission back in order. I need information on cadmium plating. Found out that the "transmission cap" at the base of the shifter is supposed to be plated. Is this an "electo-plating" operation? Or are the parts dipped in a sol...
