thank you for info. so... if i heated up the brazed 3 speed u joint retainer and removed it, got the proper 6 hole bearing retainer, it should bolt onto my 4 speed housing. if any holes are filled with brazing i could re tap them. now, my final question, do you think the drive shaft i have will work...

i contacted rootlieb and asked if they would make me a pair of 96 inch splash aprons out of 18 gauge instead of 20 gauge. for an extra 40 dollars he said yes. 300 for aprons, and shipping 100 to east coast. sounds good to me, i will keep a post on how they fit. just a reminder i am still looking for...
