I actually shift gears without using the clutch. It is a matter of timing. Slipping out of one gear and gently moving towards the next and feeling when it is ready to mesh. If it grinds you are not allowing the gear speeds to be compatible.

Flush and clean fuel and cooling systems. Go through ignition system, Clean and repack all wheel bearings. Grease everything, Drain and refill all oils. Oil the cylinders. Spokes should always be bent/straightened while cold. heating and bending will stretch the metal.

Actually I come across a lot of '32/'33 stripped trucks that still have the drums on them. All the rodders want is the sheet metal.

After the leaks are fixed and things are clean fill your cooling system with RUST 911. It will remove all the rust from your block and head. You can drive the vehicle with the RUST 911 in it. After two days I drained mine. The water had turned black with the dissolved rust in it. I flushed and refil...
