Its riveted on and a pain! yea that's what i saw to is a few rivets in them and was hesitant on doing anything drastic....

Yea, ive got a buncha catalogs and they list some books. Didnt know if anyone knew of a must have type of book for the AA. Re: several random fixerup questions
Do you soak the parts in it? Does the solvent get it gooey or does it dissolve the mess pretty well?
I can probably get enough crud scraped off to get the backing plates off and then get a shallow pan (or a cut down round trashcan) to soak these in...

Re: several random fixerup questions
Ill just lump my question in here: the rear end of my 29 (worm drive) grease seals leaked evidently like 60 years ago when it was still driveable, well that combined with farm field dust created this concrete black goo that if it touches your skin its stained for 2 weeks. I have soaked, sprayed, dun...

stakebed/flatbed strips
Well all of my metal strips that hold the boards down have rusted/broken/chunks missing. I know these arent reproduced and entirely different from the A pickup bed strips. What have you guys used instead? some 1.5" wide 1/8" thick flat steel with drilled holes? I'm not building a show truc...
