Re: Wood blocks under cab are bad.
crosscut-I replaced all the wood cab mounts with a kit from macsautoparts.com. I ordered the wood, rubber shims and bolts. Everything Ihave bought from them is excellent quality and fits well. Replaced the top wood with a kit from macs also. They will send you a paper catalog if you want one. Radar

Re: want 1929/Early '30 radiator shell
these alum rad have the cap under the hood and no dummy neck so I have to figure out a way to mount the cap to the shell without drilling holes. I'm planning to leave the rad natural alum and put a stainless stone guard in front of it since I will be driving it alot Radar

Since mining is my job I have to say those Discovery guys would either be dead or in jail in a real MSHA approved mine. Just got my new Federal book and they break almost every rule in there!

Re: Axle widths?
If you want to use your original front axle think about this- measure the axle boss thickness at the kingpins and the diameter of the kingpins and compair with modern spindles then redrill the hubs. I would check out F350&F450 Fords and maybe 60s or 70s C40 Chev front axles. A little machine wor...

Re: 29 AA restorod
Bob, the frame is boxed from the front crossmember to the motor mounts and in the rear where I c'ed the frame for axle clearance. The center of the frame is plenty strong enough to handle the weight and tourque of my build. I'm tearing it down for paint and will post some pics. If anyone wants to kn...
