Gear Oil
I just love it when I’ve read something about my 28 and then search and search and can’t find it again. I remember reading how much gear oil the transmission takes and how much the dual drive takes. I remember it saying not to over fill the dual drive oil. Anybody have these capacities? Thanks, Marty

Re: AA wish bone
I’m working on my 28 radius ball (wishbone) also. I’ve read that the ball should be kept as close as possible to the top cap; this keeps your front caster setting where it should be. Adjustment can be made on the bottom cap. You can form a shim from a thin fender washer and insert it in between the ...

Re: Front Brake Work
I do beleive my 28 drums are cast. They do not look all that bad, just a thick film or grease and dirt, which I may just clean off and see how they work. The brake shoes don't really look all that bad either.
Thanks for all the help,

Front Brake Work
What was the original front brake drum wall thickness and what is the minimum safe thickness I should not exceed when turning? And is there a certain thickness and material of brake shoe that I should request when I have them relined?
Thanks guys,
Marty

Radius ball cap help
My 28 AA radius ball has up and down slop. I either need to replace parts or/and shim inside the bottom ball cap below the ball. Problem: I am having problems removing the castle nuts below the bottom cap. I have placed a rod through the 2 holes above the bolts and through their slots but am unable ...

Radius Ball Cap Assembly
Les Andrews' Mdl A Mechanics Handbook shows the springs between the spacer and nut, on the outside of the lower cap. My 28 AA has the springs sandwiched between upper and lower caps. Has the previous owner put this assy together wrong? Which is correct?

I know Less Andrews has find books on my A's, does anybody know if any such books for my AA? I'm working on my radius ball cap assy and it appears different than my A's. I have been searching for a few years and have never found or asked the question: What is the standard muffler for the AA? Thanks,...

28 AA Fire Truck
I was just looking at a post from Bob from Northport, MI. In the attached photo is a 29 fire truck. This is the closest photo I have ever found of a fire truck almost like mine. I have a 28 AA fire truck and have been driving and working on it for about 10 years now. Any body else have one? Captain ...

Re: 28 Fire Truck Questions
I don't seem to be able to post photos as the box says it is too large. I'll keep trying. I purchased the fire truck in the UP of Michigan along the Lake Superior side. The man said Henry Ford donated the truck to his hardwood plant in Piquaming.

28 Fire Truck Questions
I've had my 28 fire truck for a number of years and have not been able to find another like it. Anybody else have one. Also, I need to rebuild my tired engind and don't want to tackle it myself. Anybody know of an AA engine mechanic in the Tulsa area?
