Front brakes

1931 157wb My question is about the roller tracks. The roller track assembly is riveted to the backing plate. It appears to me that the roller pin and not the roller rides on the roller track (see pic on page 1-37 of Model A Ford mechanics manual) Only the roller track outer edge is worn and the edg...

Re: Speedometer cable

Thanks to borh of you. I ordered from a different supplier a cable for my 31' 157WB and the one supplied is 86 inches ...way too short for my truck....I measured the casing that was on the truck and it is 104 inches. I know 104 inches attaches both ends with slack...I guess I will find a speedo shop...

Grease fittings and tail pipe routing

Two questions..The orifices for grease fittings have somehow gotten oversize and the fittings wont fit snugly. How repair? Second..does anyone have a photo of how the tail pipe on a 157 attaches to the frame? Mine seems to sit too far away from the frame for the stock clamps to work

Re: Cartouche Upholstery Kit 82B Cab

Been there, done that. I get very bullheaded prefering to repair an original part rather than replacing. Snyders compared my measurements with measurements from the original blueprints...maybe you could get the same info and confirm which springs you have.

Re: Cartouche Upholstery Kit 82B Cab

The problem is/was a mixup in measurements. Snyders has been extremely helpful in resolving the problem. I appreciate and am most thankful for Snyders assistance and reccomend them as a source.

Re: Cartouche Upholstery Kit 82B Cab

I tried the backrest spring vs upholstery and it looks to me like the problem may be that I have B springs and A upholstery by your last comment. I asked Snyder to check their records to confirm what was ordered....I expect they will answer me sometime monday and I will let you know what they say......

Re: Cartouche Upholstery Kit 82B Cab

I bought the springs from Snyder and have no complaint about them. The quality looks good and they have the channel to accept the cording on the upholstery I ordered the upholstery from Cartouche thru Snyders. While the materials and workmanship on the upholstery looks good, when placed on the sprin...

Cartouche Upholstery Kit 82B Cab

Has anyone any experience with these kits? I purchased one thru Snyders and find; 1. The instructions ambiguous and difficult to follow 2. The upholstery barely larger than the bare springs much less the springs plus padding. Is there a trick to getting the upholstery on over the padding? Should the...
