DeRusting Wheel Hub
These are before and after pics derusting using the electrolytic rust removal technique described in the following link. http://www3.telus.net/public/aschoepp/electrolyticrust.html It took about twelve hours (overnight) for these results. This method works better than merely wire brushing as it conv...

AA Rear Hub Museum
I have an old junker truck with a 29 cab that has been parked behind my barn for almost 3o years. I was "forced" to take it when a junkyard was going out of business and I was looking to buy some small Model A items. The owner said I had to take all his A stuff or none. The price was right...

Sleeve removal
Thanks Mike...I am slowly attacking...My puller has a bad angle on the legs and they wont grab the sleeve so I am modifying the bridge on my pullers to get a better lead,,,, more up and down. Don't want to end up scoring the sleeve. The rivet hole on the "spare" hub is smaller than the one...

AA rear bearing sleeve & rivets
Mike...Your "drop it flat" method worked great and I got both seals out no problem. I ground off the rivet heads on the old hub and drove them out. As you can see in the picture at some time the sleeve slipped and capsized the rivets on the inside. The one not shown was even more sheared. ...

Rear wheel bearing
Impressed with your perserverance! All four hubs that I pulled practically fell off!!! A question, Did you replace the sleeve in your good hub? If so where did you get the rivet? Does anybody know where that part is available? Or how to mickey mouse it?

1931 AA Rear wheel Hubs and bearings
I read the previous posts re this topic. My hubs and wheels came off no problem but the left one had a broken lip on what I think is the bearing race http://www.panart.com/xbobpix/modela1.jpg I have a right rear hub casting. I assume right and left are interchangeable so long as you change the lugs ...
