!87-A Platform Stake Racks
I am building up the racks from what little I have as I am short some stakes, But I wonder if anyone has knowledge concerning the front or headache rack. I was given a metal grill that protects the rear window but allows rear vision for the driver. It seems not to line up bolt wise with the two stra...

Re: Newbie: 1930 AA flatbed dualie
NIce rig with great patina! I like the support strap rigged to hold the running board up. Are the deck stakes made of wood? I would love to see a picture of the inside of the racks for ideas for mine. I do not have enough steel stakes to restore all my racks so I may just us wood stakes for now. Aga...

I hope you find the trouble and get her back on the road, but before you do, please replace the bolt and wing nut on the brake pedal clevis with a proper pin and cotter pin. It would be a shame to get rolling only to lose the brakes when the wing nut falls off.

Re: Muffler hanger
Thanks for the reply, Brian and Hayslip. This truck is a 131" so the bracket should work. I'll check it out tonight and see about those holes. I can't believe I missed them, but then again I am missing more and more every year.

Muffler hanger
Looking to hunt down some vibrations in my truck now that its rolling on the road. I have a regular Model A hanger currently holding the rear of thr pipe but I believe its too tight to the frame. I have the two bolt type hanger sold by Snyders P/N AA-5256-B That bolts to the frame. Trouble is I don'...

Re: 3rd gear issues
I had an issue with my four speed in the top three gears being a little stubborn at first. I decided to add another pint to the trans to help slow it down a bit, and that helped about 50% of it. The more I have driven it the more I have learned. The trans shifts way better after it warms up a bit, s...

Sail Panels on stake racks
Steve Tautz - Denver et al, When you fellas restored your rack components what solution did you come up with for the revited panels on the first front side panels. These metal panels and wood side boards are reiveted together and to properly restore the wood and bang the dings out of the panels I wi...

Re: Hub puller woes
I spent almost a full seven days and a tall bottle of O2 on one. I also used a bashed hupcap filled with penetrating oil through a small hole I drilled in it. I cannot say it did not help, and it certainly caused a lot of smelly smoke. I also killed two jacks and two rigs putting the pressure on. Ma...

Re: Turn Signals Suggestions
I tried a lot of Motorcycle lamps from Hondas to Harleys and the were all to bulky or had too much plastic chrome. I did some shopping on E-Bay and Craig's List for some antique styled ones but they were too spendy or required a lot of modifications to make the work safely. I eventually used a Logo ...
