Hello, I have some questions I'm sure has been discussed before but I'm hoping some one can help. 1st, is the front brake operating shaft, the one that pushes down on the operating pin, the same size for the AA as the one for the A car? I find them in the catalogs, but only in the car section. My qu...

Re: WTB 4 1930 AA rims
OK, I have two home made wheels. They look like they were made for a Doodle Bug. I'll try to describe them, my wife is going to try to show me how to do photo bucket later so I can add pictures. The wheels started out as a 1930 , and a 1933. The 33 has the raised flange and the 30 is straight. Then ...

Re: Another newby with a question, 1930 grain bed AA
Hey Chip, I picked out a spot on the fender splash and tried the Sikkens, it dried quite shiny so I dulled it down with a scotch pad and it looks pretty good. I just don't know if I could bring myself to painr over those old decals. I guess the trick would be to just paint the rustty spots. The sikk...

Re: Truck wheels-Paint or powder coat?
I bought my wheels from a feller in North Cal, he said he went to Les Schwab tire, they didn't work on wheels but gave him a contact to do the cleanup and powder coat. They look real good . Les Schwab then mounted the new tires. Sure wish we had Les back here on the right coast!. Bill James

Wow! who would have thought! This Sikkens satin clear sounds just like what I had in mind. I tried some rattle can clear and it looked way to shiny. Gotta go find me some! Bytheway, I'm still working on posting pictures. You know about old dogs learning new tricks. Bill James

Another newby with a question, 1930 grain bed AA
I bought a 1930 AA with a grain door bed, the truck is in good barn find shape with only surface rust. My first plan was to do a frame up backyard restoration, but after reading some opinions on this forum, about keeping the trucks "as found" I'm having second thoughts. I have no informati...

Hey Cowboy, I'm driving out to northern California to get a pickup load of 1929 AA parts, will be back in VA mid may, at least thats the plan. I bought the truck mostly for the wheels, but there are lots of parts including front springs. I paid $100 for the front springs I have on my 1930, so if you...
