I have been quoted $500.00 to do the cadmium plating on 20 lug nuts, 4 hub caps and 7 trim rings. This is based on having everything ready for plating. Does this seem reasonable? Are the 30/31 hub caps cad plated the same as the trim rings?

Are the split ring on a 1928 AA spoke rim the same as the ring on the 1930 Bud Ring?

A local shop that does cadmium plating says that they have done several rings and after the plating is complete the use a brass brush to brighten the shine. Is this the correct process?

What about drilling and tapping a grease fitting into the cap that covers the universal joint. The inner plate has two holes drilled in them?

I have a complete worm gear drive that was from a restored truck that was converted into a hot rod. It is complete. Were are you located? I also have the front axle. Breaks all look to be new. Excellent paint. Let me know.

Today I followed a tip by a local to an old barn that has a 1930 AA truck with duals and a gar wood hydraulic dump. Is this original. I have a book tha shows lots of dump bodies but does not show one like this and does not mention the manufacture.

I met an individual that took a completely restored 1928 AA truck and made a hot rod. I bought the front and rear axles with hubs, spoke wheels and tires. I have two 1930 trucks that need the budd 5 hole style rims. Is anyone willing to do some horse trading. Can anyone use the axles and breaks?
