Re: Dual High
Mike- For now I'd like to find a jackshaft assembly to put in there and keep the truck on the road until I can afford an overdrive or find a warford. Vince Falter just posted a blowup on AHOOGA of the unit. Tim. Tim, Here is a picture of the driveshaft I have for a 30 swb truck. http://www.aa-fords...

Firewall removal and replacement question
I'm planning on transplanting my mid 30's firewall and gas tank with a late 31 indented firewall and gas tank. What is the best method for removing the firewall? Grind the rivets off the various braces, or drill the heads off? Also, when re-installing, is this a cold riveting operation or hot? I not...

Re: Dual High
Mike- I just have gone through my dual high unit due to leaking seals. No one that I could find knew anything about the units. The front and rear bearings are the same as far as I can tell, as are the seals. It's kind of odd that the front bearing is lubricated by the U-joint grease and the back be...

Re: Budd Wheels Wanted
I'll look in my pile of wheels for the type you are looking for, shipping may be spendy though, looks like you are on the east coast?Bradshaw wrote:I'm looking for 2 Budd 5 spoke wheels. I need the "smooth face" wheels without the raised re-inforcement area for the lug nuts.

Re: I'll get the ball rolling. AA bearings
AA fans, I have recently gone through the process of finding some bearings for the rear wheel of my '28 truck, and found out that it is not as easy as when I ordered parts for my Model A cars. I will share what I have learned about sources, but I would like to know what other folks have found about...

Re: Thanks for setting up AA message board
Mike Green. Hope this new AA message board does good. I'm working my way through an early '28 stakebed AA, and have found that specific info and parts for the AA can be difficult to obtain. Hope this board can start to fill the gap Mike Taylor Mike, visit the AA Truck Site at http://www.aa-fords.co...

Re: Glad to see an AA truck discussion page
Mike , Just a wish of good luck in your new endeavor. How about a link to The Antique Truck Club of America , (ATCA) or The American Truck Historical Society (ATHS)? AA Restoration pictures?
Does anybody have pictures of their AA truck or restoration project online? If you have a website I would like to add it to my AA Truck links page. If you don't have a website I would be happy to create a space for you on my server.
Just shoot me an email and I'll take care of the rest.
