Re: AA rear axel questions

The "A" marking is for the low speed rear end approx 7 to 1. The "B" is for the high speed rear end approx 5 to 1. You can ignore the other markings.

Re: 1929 1/2 ?

The 1929 1/2 is really an early 1930. The book "Ford Trucks Since 1905" calls these 1929 1/2 and unfortunately the description stuck. `The Budd wheels (5 cut outs) appeared in Jan. 1930 along with the new two piece bevel gear rear end as announced in the Jan. Ford Service Bulletin and not ...

Re: Stake with canopy?

Try the New York Public Library Digital Gallery and search for 718896F. Note the AA truck with canvas pulling out into the street. Note also the grille guard! Real truck stuff made out of iron. Best, Ed PS: NO,I don't have one of those grille guards, damn it.

Re: Question on two bar bumper for AA truck

The AA bars are not the same dimensions as the car. They are wider and probably thicker. That bumper is hard to find . Enjoy it as is. Best, Ed

See my AA club House posting of July,14,2008. The 1932 Serial "The Devil Horse" features a 1929 AA tandem rear end rack body truck. I bought this serial from Nina's Oldies for about 6 bucks. Features Harry Carey Sr. and Frankie Darro Jr. Twelve exciting chapters.
